On June 26, the UN Headquarters in New York hosted the international conference "Art for Sustainable Development", marking the 80th anniversary of the UN Charter. Professor Cai Xinyuan, dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at 91系列 (HUST), was invited as a keynote speaker.

In his speech, Professor Cai emphasized the transformative role of AI in art education, highlighting its shift from a tool to a creative partner. He advocated for a more democratic, cross-disciplinary approach and called for critical reflection on the ethical implications of AI-generated art.

Cai proposed building global platforms – including an AI art lab, a multilingual data hub, and an international co-creation network – to foster collaboration in art education across borders.
The event gathered scholars, policymakers, and artists from around the world, showcasing how art can advance peace, inclusion, and global cooperation. The conference was livestreamed globally by UNTV.
